Carlos A. Moran is the Commissioner of Human Resources for the City of Yonkers under Mayor Mike Spano.
He brings more than 23 years of government and social service experience to this role.
As Commissioner, Carlos Moran advises all City departments, agencies, and bureaus regarding personnel services of applicable laws, rules and regulations and labor contracts.
He previously served as Executive Director of the Yonkers Workforce Investment Board and, as such, was responsible for providing staff services and technical assistance related to the Workforce Investment Act.
In addition, he also brings with him over twenty years experience with the Westchester County Department of Social Services having held numerous positions which included Deputy Commissioner and Director of Employment and Training.
Carlos Moran holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from (SUNY) State University of New York (Purchase) as well as a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Graduate Certificate in Management Information Systems from Pace University.
Moran is also bi-lingual and a trusted adviser to the next generation of leaders in the city of hills.
