Gordon A. Burrows, 61, of Yonkers, is a Republican in Westchester County District 15.
Gordon Burrows is an attorney in White Plains and has been a Westchester County Legislator for 14 years.
He’s been the minority whip on the Westchester County Board of Legislators for six years.
Previously, Gordon Burrows served for 10 years as a Yonkers city councilman.
He became the 15th District’s County Legislator after winning the February 15, 2005 special election, called to fill the seat vacated by Lou Mosiello upon his election to the NYS Assembly.
With a little over two months notice, Gordon Burrows took on the challenge of organizing his successful campaign for County office.
District 15 is comprised of Bronxville and Yonkers.
There was a scandal where Gordon Burrows and mechanic Timothy Cacace, who owns a service station on Central Park Ave. called Master Mechanix, were spotted using a small amount of cocaine in broad daylight.
In October, 2002, Gordon Burrows was charged with violating an order of protection on his ex-wife Tina Burrows, during their court proceedings.
The two have five children together and were in the middle of a divorce.

But despite these personal troubles residents in Gordon Burrows district praise him for having an open door policy and say he constantly makes efforts to engage the residents the residents that he serves.
During Gordon Burrows political career he has successfully worked with numerous administrations in a bipartisan manor for the benefit of his constituents.
He has voted for legislation restricting the use of styrofoam, as well as, restricting the outdoor tethering of dogs and a ban on synthetic drugs.
Gordon Burrows received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Ithaca College.
In 1984, he graduated from St. John’s School of Law.
Gordon Burrows attended Roosevelt High School, Walt Whitman Junior High and School 28 in Yonkers, as well as the Chapel School in Bronxville.
He lives his wife Christine in the Colonial Heights neighborhood of Yonkers.
