During his tenure Chuck Lesnick promoted economic development in Yonkers; increased funding to the public schools particularly for the restoration of art, music and sports; adaptive reuse of historic buildings, Enviromental initiatives to save taxpayers money and increased public participation in the review of land use decisions.

Chuck Lesnick is a past President of the Westchester Municipal Officials Association where he helped lead the Westchester Collaborative Assessment Commission to examine tax assessment practices in 43 assessing jurisdictions.

Chuck Lesnick is also a member of the #YonkersBikeClub, Yonkers Rowing & Paddling Club, JCY- Westchester Community Partners Advosry Board and the Treasurer of the Enslaved African Rain Garden.
Chuck Lesnick holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Yale, a Masters in Urban And Regional Planning from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public And International Affairs at Princeton and a J.D. from the NYU School of Law.
Longtime #Yonkers community activists, he and his wife, Dr. Beth Schorr Lesnick, a Gastroenterologist at Westchester Medical Center have two grown daughters, Ariel and Emily, graduates of the Yonkers elementary school system who continue to work in Education and Social Change at Riverdale Country School and Northeastern University
